TheGerman physician Dr. Adolph Just and followers can be regarded as the founders of naturism i.e.
nature worship. Dr. Just’s book return to nature is the bible of the proponents of naturism. He observed
that all the animals obey the laws of nature, and as a consequence enjoy excellent health. In return for
obedience to the dictates of nature, they have been generously endowed with good health by nature.
If at all there has been a failure to take advantages of this boon of nature, the failure has been on the
part of man.
Man himself is responsible for his sorry plight. While other animals follow and obey nature, man perversely uses his intelligence in continually finding ways of transgressing nature’s law & thus invites the calamity of ill health upon him.
While the proponents of naturism believe in returning to nature, the proponents of nature, the proponents of nature cure believe in advancing beyond nature. The devotees of naturism stop at worshiping nature, but the adherents of nature pathy endeavor to achieve a synthesis of such diverse but complementary elements as nature and art, past & future or in nutshell, nature and civilization.
They do not believe that the progress that civilization has achieved through the ages is without value, however, they do recommend the rejection of those elements of civilization which have prone detrimental and even disastrous.
Thus, the proponents of nature are concede the importance of nature, but do not hesitate to assist nature in combating diseases and to has ten the restoration of health by the adoption of extraneous curative measures like hydrotherapy, fasts, clay therapy, regulation of food, magneto therapy, acupressure etc.
In order to be able to present illness, it is necessary to understand the factors that are responsible for weakening the vital forces. The following factors enfeeble the vital forces and cause the accumulation of poisons in the body.
